Paul Morf Elected Board President of the Iowa Academy of Trust & Estate Counsel
Attorney Paul Morf has been elected President by the Board of Directors of the Iowa Academy of Trust and Estate Counsel (IATEC). Paul has served as IATEC’s Vice President since it was established in 2012. Membership to IATEC is by invitation only and is limited to 250 Iowa attorneys. The group exists to “foster cooperation and collective discussion” within the Iowa trust and estate planning bar and to “educate and support legislative efforts and initiatives for facilitating effective transmission of wealth and values of Iowa families.”
Paul has been with Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC since 1998 and has served on its board of directors. For over ten years, he has chaired the firm’s Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning, and Probate Law practice group. Paul is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”) where he recently participated as a member of the faculty at ACTEC’s Heart of America Fellows Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. He is also a Past President of the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council. He has taught various classes at the University of Iowa College of Law, and is a frequent speaker on topics related to estate planning. Paul lives with his wife, Jennifer, and three daughters in rural Mount Vernon.
