Stephen Larson Makes Class of 2021 Alumni Hall of Fame
Stephen B. Larson was one of three recipients of the 2021 Class of the LaSalle-Regis-Xavier Alumni Hall of Fame. Mr. Larson was recognized at a virtual ceremony held on January 28. Candidates must have made outstanding contributions to society through involvement in career or community service and show good moral character and citizenship.
Mr. Larson is a 1999 Xavier graduate where he was a track standout. While competing in high school, he was a Drake Relays champion and a four-time winner at the Class 3A track and field state championships. He then went on to attended NCAA Division II Hillsdale College in Michigan where he ran cross country and track. During his time at Hillsdale, Mr. Larson was awarded First Team All-Conference honors 10 times, named the Conference’s Co-Athlete of the Year in outdoor track and field, was a multiple-time Nationals qualifier and was also selected as an NCAA Division II Coach’s All-American at Cross-Country Nationals.
Mr. Larson earned his BA in Philosophy and Religion and History from Hillsdale College and an MA in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He spent eight years abroad teaching English at a South Korean university before earning his JD from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Larson joined Simons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC in Cedar Rapids in 2019 where he is an attorney with a general practice including business and corporate counseling, banking and finance law and creditors' rights & bankruptcy law. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Linn County Bar Association and the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council.
